Parents and Education in the Modern World
As parents, we have the awesome responsibility of training up our children in the way they should go. Unfortunately, it seems as though the world wants to disrupt that process as much as possible. The world wants to undermine God’s Word at every opportunity. Entertainment models reprehensible lifestyles and overtly portrays Christian values as archaic and silly. Music is even worse, and let’s not forget the internet. As a parents, we have the responsibility not only to defend against those influences but also to actively influence our children for the Gospel by educating them accordingly.
At the Armory Christian Academy, we want your child to learn to seek God first in all things. To learn to seek first the Kingdom of God is to treat education as an act of worship. God made our minds, and we honor Him by filling our minds with the truth that He created. The Bible is God’s Word, so each day your child will begin by learning it for the purpose of obedience to it. From there, your child will study each subject throughout the day through the lens of a Christian worldview. Education is such a powerful tool in shaping the trajectory of a young life, so how are you aiming your arrows?
