Preparing Young People to Seek Christ First
Academics at The Armory Christian Academy
The world has reduced education down to job training in combination with secular behaviorism, but the Christian should not. At the Armory Christian Academy, students are more than academic learners studying for a future job. Students worship God in all that they do. We believe that God created man in His image, and the fact that we can think, discern, understand, discover, and create is a result of imago Dei in action. Education should be treated as an act of worship. Students will learn what God’s Word says, so that they can develop a Christian worldview as we learn throughout the day.
Our focus in the elementary grades is to build a solid foundation in each area of study. Students begin the day learning from God’s Word and how to apply it to their lives. Students will study rich literature to inspire excellent moral character, to learn valuable communication skills, and to connect to different historical time periods. Each student studies math at their own level of proficiency. Science and history are studied through engaging text, experiments, and hands-on activities. During Exploring the Real World Jr., the students will learn basic practical life skills. Students will learn to use basic hand tools, cooking/baking skills, using money wisely, outdoor skills, and more!

- Exploring the Real World Jr.
Our focus in the upper grade levels is to prepare students for their future as young professionals in the world. We begin our day studying God’s Word. Our intent is to deeply understand the Bible so that we can know God better and seek His Kingdom first. We study historical time periods in cycles of ancient, medieval, and modern. We have rich and in-depth discussions about how history relates to freedom and current events. In our English Language Arts program, our students will learn how to analyze text and effectively communicate orally and through writing. Each student studies math at their own level of proficiency. Students will learn that there is no contradiction between science and the Bible. Science labs will accompany each science class. Exploring the Real World is our signature course. Over the course of the year, students will study the history of financial systems, taxes, investing, entrepreneurship, mechanical skills, and basic outdoor and survival skills.

Faith
At the Armory Christian Academy, we believe that education is an act of worship to God; He created us with incredible intelligence. The authority of the Bible is the foundation for all that we do and believe. We begin each day by studying the Bible. We seek to understand history in light of Biblical principles. We study English to articulate what we believe. We study science and math to observe the orderly nature of what God has amazingly, literally created. We learn about the real-world to become good stewards of all that God gives us. We want to help students seek God first in everything.
